Tiki & Tierney: Are the Knicks back, or is winning streak a 'blip on the radar?'

The Knicks are riding a five-game winning streak after Wednesday's thrilling overtime win over the Bulls, and BT is convinced the team might be onto something.

"Last night was an interesting one," BT said. "Just another illumination of Jalen Brunson's worth. That guy is a killer…he wasn't even supposed to play with a foot injury.

"The Knicks are looking pretty good…I think the team looks different. Once they stapled Fournier to the bench and they unleashed Grimes…I love it. They're interesting…they've been so absent of a point guard and you watch them play with Brunson, there's a plan."

Brunson went off for 30 points, including the dagger 3-pointer in the final minute of overtime, preceded by a crossover move that sent Alex Caruso to the ground. The Knicks defense has went from one of the league's worst to among the top 10 in the NBA in a matter of weeks, and are now sixth in the Eastern Conference and just three games back of the third seed.

BT is hopeful the team's current success is sustainable, but Tiki is proceeding with a bit more caution.

"Is it real or something that is just a blip on the radar?" BT said. "They run the same play offensively. Let's do a high screen here and get a pick-and-roll…but there's no off-ball movement. You don't see it."
