Boomer confident Knicks will handle Joel Embiid, show 'DNA of a champion'
The Knicks will meet the 76ers in the first round, and while some are wary that New York faces a daunting task in a not-so-typical seventh seed, Boomer says "bring it."
"Is Joel Embiid 100 percent? Okay, let's go then," Boomer said. "We're gonna be throwing two guys at him…we play defense. We're linked together."
All the talk this week has been about which team the Knicks match up better against between the Sixers and Heat, but Boomer says, from experience, that the Knicks likely couldn't care less who they face in round one. They'll be ready as they have been all season.
"As an athlete, I'm sure the Knicks were just sitting there and didn't care who they played," Boomer said. "They want to show everyone out there, 'We don't have and Embiid, we don't have a Giannis, a Jokic, a Doncic, it doesn't matter.' They have a chip on their shoulder, and they have a championship DNA.
"You're gonna find out they're for real."
