Boomer gives Knicks a chance to reach Eastern Conference Final and stun Celtics

Boomer and Gio debated whether or not the Knicks could actually be better off without Julius Randle in the postseason, but Gio can’t go that far as to say the team won’t miss their second scoring option aside from Jalen Brunson.

However, Brunson has reached a level of stardom to where New York could still make a run.

“Things were so much better with Julius Randle and the way he was fitting, so I can’t sit here and tell you it’s a good thing that he is not coming back,” Gio said. “But, Jalen Brunson is so good that I still think they can reach the Eastern Conference Finals without Julius Randle.”

Boomer also believes the Knicks can still get to the Easter Conference Finals for the first time in over 20 years, and believes they could do even better than that, even if they face the best team in the NBA all season.

“I know some people will like this and some won’t…the way they played the other night and the way OG Anunoby came out and scored points, if they are totally healthy without Julius Randle, I think they have a chance to go to the Eastern Conference Final,” Boomer said. “And if they meet Boston, they would have a chance to beat them.”
