BT & Sal: Jalen Brunson's shaky game one cause for Knicks concern?
Jalen Brunson finished with 22 points in the Knicks' win over the 76ers in game one on Saturday, but it was a struggle all night, as he faced constant double teams while struggling with his efficiency from the field throughout the night.
Are BT and Sal concerned that this could be a trend for the rest of the series, and however far New York goes in the postseason? The opinions differ greatly.
"Superstars don't have a game like that," Sal said. "To get shut down like that, that to me was an 'Uh oh' type game, where you saw the size.
"Other superstars figure out a way to have their game, even when they don't have it. I came away from that thinking 'This could be a problem.' I love Brunson. I still think he's a superstar. But that was a game that was at least eye-opening, if not alarming.
BT didn't have nearly the same concerns.
"I think they win tonight, Brunson plays awesome, and this thing is gonna roll," BT said. "I am absolutely convinced Brunson will go off tonight."
