BT & Sal not sweating 76ers as Knicks prepare for playoff run: 'We're better'
The Knicks have drawn the 76ers in the first round of the playoffs, and BT and Sal made it clear on Thursday morning that they are not scared of Philly after their win over the Heat in the Play-In Tournament.
"The SemiSixers," Sal said. "They take bows for getting to the [Conference] Finals every year.
"Watching that game last night, I think the Knicks got the better matchup…the Knicks match up better with the Sixers. I didn't think Butler would be out to this extent. But I don't think Embiid is 100 percent, Batum is not gonna do what he did last night in the majority of the series. I think the Knicks got the more favorable matchup."
Sal and BT noted that the Heat without a now injured Jimmy Butler would have been a good matchup for New York, but after watching Joel Embiid on his surgically repaired knee Wednesday night, both are confident that the Knicks can win a playoff series for the second straight season.
"They're gonna take a bow right out when we bop them in five," BT said. "The Knicks aren't losing this series. We're better."
