BT & Sal rip 'stupid' 76ers for playing with 'fraction' of the heart of Knicks

Sal believes the Sixers have the star power to come back and win this series against the Knicks, but it is not a compliment to Philly as much as it is an indictment on New York's lack of consistent scoring, especially when Jalen Brunson is struggling.

Sal does see Philly coming back to win the series if the Knicks keep playing the way that they have, but he doesn't see them going much further than that.

"The Sixers are a stupid basketball team, and don't even play with a fraction of the heart and will that the Knicks play with," Sal said. "I just wish [Tyrese] Maxey, for his own good, was a smarter player and had more care. If he played with passion and care and was smarter, he would be All-World. He does stupid things, chucking up shots, and had the ball ripped from him by Deice McBride. That play is symbolic of the series. Who wanted it more?

"If you ask who wants it more, I don't think it's even close. The Knicks do."

BT strongly disagrees with Sal's concerns about the Knicks, but is fully aligned with Sal's take on the makeup of the Sixers.

"The Knicks are tougher, they're deeper, they're smarter, and they're more opportunistic," BT said. "This Sixers team is soft. They have no backbone."
