BT: Knicks are better off without Julius Randle as playoffs approach

As the Knicks inch closer and closer to the playoffs, and creep further and further up the Eastern Conference standings, BT says the team’s bad injury luck could actually make the them better suited for a deep playoff run.

Specifically, BT believes the Knicks will be a better playoff team without him and his struggle to make quick decisions on the floor when the intensity heats up in the postseason.

“They’re better without Randle,” BT said. “Is he that guy when you need him? The answer so far has been no.

“We all love Randle. He’s a bull, and we feel horribly for him when he got hurt. But go back to the Heat series last season…RJ Barrett, who is among the least efficient forwards in basketball, has bene replaced by arguably the most efficiency small forward in basketball in OG Anunoby.”

BT hated to see Randle go down with a season-ending shoulder injury, but given his previous playoff performances, and how the Knicks still look with Jalen Brunson and Anunoby, it might be for the best.

“I love Randle. I feel badly for Randle that he’s not gonna be able to change his personal narrative,” BT said. “Night to night, the Knicks are better without him.”
