BT: Nothing left to do but thank Knicks for great season, regardless of how it ended

The Knicks season is over, one that BT believed could wind up with a run to an NBA Finals.

But injuries mounted, and those left on the court ran out of gas in game seven on Sunday. Many were left angry and disappointed by the lost opportunity to get back to an Eastern Conference Final for the first time since 2000, but BT couldn't help but feel anything but pride and gratitude for the most enjoyable Knicks season in over a quarter of a century.

"I can't muster up an ounce of anger," BT said. "I can't. I won't.

"This season that the Knicks gave us…there was just nothing left to give. That was it."

Falling in the second round of the playoffs hurts, especially after earning the second seed thanks to a hard-working and likable group that eventually couldn't withstand another injury. But even in the immediate aftermath, BT felt no anger about the season coming to a close.

"On the mat, flat on their backs, pummeled with injuries, and hit with an inordinate amount of unforeseen and unfair circumstances," BT said. "I've never seen another team subjected to this.

"All I can muster up is 'thank you' to this team. I love these Knicks."
