Evan: Knicks playoff run already filled with 'championship DVD moments'

After the Knicks went off on an inspired comeback on the back of their hobbled leader in Jalen Brunson, Evan declared that the game two victory shot up to the top of his long list of "championship DVD moments that have made up New York's current playoff run.

"They are having what I like to call championship DVD moments on a nightly basis," Evan said. "You close your eyes when something magical happens, and you ask yourself, 'Can I see this on the championship DVD?' I'm telling you right now, I can tell you 10 things that would make the championship DVD."

Whenever a pro sports team wins a title, there is a documentary made about the team's championship run, which used to be collected as championship DVDs. Evan says there would be plenty to choose from for this Knicks team if it ever happened, and currently, the top moment would be Brunson emerging from the MSG tunnel before the start of the second quarter to signify his return from a foot injury, resulting in pandemonium from Knicks fans, and an eventual comeback victory.

"What I saw last night takes the cake," Evan said. "On the anniversary of, without a shadow of a doubt, the most famous moment in New York Knicks history…are you freaking kidding me? On the anniversary of that, Jalen Brunson disappears late in the first quarter…and dramatically, there's Jalen Brunson warming up for the second half, calmly telling the Madison Square Garden crowd, 'I got this.'

"I was shaking after the game thinking, 'Is this real?'"
