Gio bracing for 'disaster' as Knicks continue to roll

The Knicks are flying high after an eighth straight win, moving into third place in the Eastern Conference after finishing 14-2 in January.

New York looks like it is for real under Tom Thibodeau, who has his team coming ready to play every night regardless of who is injured.

But for Gio, it is only raising fears that it will eventually come crashing down.

"I've seen everything," Gio said. "I've seen the Knicks in the Finals.
I've seen the Mets in the World Series multiple times…I've just never seen the ultimate one. That's why I'm just waiting for the baseball bat to the back of the head.

"I'm having a tough time really enjoying it, because now I'm starting to get nervous."

What is Gio worried about? Maybe Julius Randle coming back from injury and not being the same, or worse, one of the last healthy stars on the team suffering an injury as well. He can only hope his fear of impending doom is proven to be misguided.

"This is just a product of my environment," Gio said. "I am expecting disaster…now you know what I'm thinking. Jalen Brunson has to stay healthy."
