Gio doesn't see Celtics as 'dominant' or dynasty in the making that will torment Knicks

As the Celtics rolled to a 3-0 series lead in the NBA Finals on Wednesday night, Gio found himself wondering what could have happened if the Knicks were fully healthy this year.

Mainly because he believes Boston is very beatable.

“There’s nothing about this team that makes me feel like they’re that dominant,” Gio said. “They’re gonna sweep the eastern Conference Final and probably the NBA Finals, and I sort of look at them like ‘Man, I wish the Knicks had an opportunity to play them, because I think they would have given them a series, and who knows what would have happened?’”

Boston has only lost two games this entire postseason, but Gio believes the Knicks would have given them a test unlike any team so far, and he doesn’t believe the Celtics will be a consistent road block to New York getting to an NBA Finals in the years to come.

“I know how great Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are…but I’m not looking at them like the 90s Bulls or LeBron and Dwyane Wade,” Gio said. “I don’t see this as a dynasty that is going to win multiple championships.”
