Boomer and Gio are loving what they see from the Knicks of late, as New York stretched its winning streak to five games after beating up on the Trail Blazers at MSG on Tuesday night.
Gio, who loved the OG Anunoby trade when it first happened, admits that even he didn't expect this kind of increase in production from the team as a whole just by adding the lockdown defender and knockdown corner three shooter.
"This has just been spectacular," Gio said. "Nobody could have imagined that the trade would be this good…I loved the trade, but this was even better than I expected.
"It doesn't even feel like that they need to do something in-season to get over the hump. They'll probably wait until the offseason to make that one more move to get them in that championship conversation, but right now, they're as good as anybody. They're playing as good as anybody."
