Jerry explains how Knicks have become Yankees: 'Wake me up in May'

The Knicks rolled to another win on Tuesday night, routing the Raptors behind monster nights from OG Anunoby and Karl-Anthony Towns.

New York seems to be finding its groove as the new-look, reloaded roster familiarizes itself with each other, as the Knicks have now won four in a row and nine of their last 11. For Jerry Recco, it is becoming clear that the Knicks have found their new identity, and they might as well fast forward to the playoffs to see what this team's ceiling really is.

"They feel like the Yankees from the standpoint of 'Wake me up in May,'" Jerry said. "They're really good, we know they're going to be in the playoffs...wake me up in May.

"It doesn't mean you shouldn't enjoy it. But as a basketball fan, they're doing what I expected them to do, just like I expect the Yankees to do every year, but let me see how they do in the playoffs."

As a Nets fan, Jerry enjoys watching the Knicks and they're dynamic offense, and most regrettably for him, how likable the roster is, but again, it won't mean much until they show they can get past the second round and make a deep playoff run.

"I like them. It annoys me that I like them," Jerry said. "They're fun to watch. They're good guys."
