Josh Hart has now experienced a losing streak for the first time since joining the Knicks, but he was once again all over the court in Thursday's loss to the Kings.
One of the bright spot of Thursday's loss, Hart was his usual menacing self on the defensive end, logging three steals, while finishing with nine points on 3-of-4 shooting. Most impressive of all was the 15 rebounds he grabbed, eight of them coming on the offensive glass, which tied a Knicks franchise record.
The eight offensive boards in a game by a guard is shared by Michael Ray Richardson and Ernie Grunfeld, per Knicks PR.
Hart is well known for his elite rebounding as a guard, and it was certainly on display on Thursday in Sacramento. With Hart leading the way, the Knicks dominated the offensive boards from the start, but after grabbing their first 10 offensive boards, they were only able to convert it into five second-chance points.
