Knicks forward Julius Randle has been fined $15,000 by the NBA for "directing inappropriate language towards a game official and public criticism of an official" for an incident that happened at the end of, and after, the Knicks' loss to Philadelphia on Sunday.
The NBA announced the discipline, decided on by EVP of Basketball Operations Kiki Vandeweghe, in a release on Tuesday afternoon.
Randle actually had two incidents with what he thought was questionable officiating last week, one of which was the late traveling call in the Knicks' loss to the Nets that the NBA actually backed up as the correct call.
On Sunday, however, Randle was called for a loose-ball foul with six seconds left, a foul that gave Philly's Tobias Harris two free throws that ultimately decided the game – and after the game, Randle said, among other things, that the referees "have to do a better job. It's too many games like this."
