Julius Randle's sore quad seems to be acting up again, as Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau told reporters on Friday that the former All-Star is out for Saturday's game against the Cavaliers.
Randle, who missed three straight games from March 22 to March 25 due to the quad injury, is considered day-to-day.
The reigning Most Improved Player had only missed time this season due to COVID-19 protocols before experiencing quad soreness. He has played three games since missing those three games in March, shooting just 35 percent from the floor while averaging over 31 minutes per game.
Thibodeau said there is no plan to shut Randle down for the rest of the season, even with the Knicks officially eliminated from playoff contention with only five games left.
