Joel Embiid went off in game three, scoring 50 points while also drumming up plenty of controversy in the form of a flagrant foul on Mitchell Robinson and an offensive foul on Isaiah Hartenstein that many argued could have also been whistled as a flagrant.
Keith believed it could have been, and did not enjoy watching the former MVP’s 50-point masterpiece.
“It’s hard to watch the game when the biggest guy on the court is flopping around, crying, playing dirty, and it’s allowed,” Keith said. “Every single year, someone gets hurt, and it impacts a game and a series…it’s just nonsense. It’s not basketball.”
Robinson is now hurt, leaving the Wells Fargo Center in a walking boot and putting his availability for the rest of the series in doubt. Keith said it should have resulted in Embiid being tossed.
“This is the reigning MVP. Not my MVP,” Keith said. “Jokic should have been MVP.
“Eject this man. Get him out of the game.”
