Tiki & Tierney: Knicks at least have to give Bob Myers a call for GM job

Scott Perry and the Knicks are reportedly parting ways, and BT doesn’t think New York will be missing too much from the GM who inherited a disaster in 2017.

“He did a couple decent things,” BT said. “He brought Julius Randle here…he has been All-NBA twice. But I’d like to know, what has Scott Perry done the last couple years?

“Leon [Rose] has had a hand in it the last couple years. What has he done specifically?”

As for a replacement who could have a much bigger impact on the team than he felt Perry did, BT says, at the very least, the Knicks need to pick up the phone and give Bob Myers a call after Myers stepped down as the Warriors general manager.

“Bob Myers, the architect for the Warriors, who built everything and drafted everybody,” BT said. “The Knicks have to at least give him a call.

“I don’t think he wants to come here 3,000 miles away to the Knicks and not have the same juice because of Leon Rose, but how do you not give him a call?”
