The New York Knicks have lost a key member of their staff, as Director of Performance Mubarak Malik announced on Instagram Monday that he has resigned from his position.
Malik has spent the last seven years serving in that role, after previously serving as a strength and conditioning coach in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization in MLB.
In his post, Malik said that he resigned from his "dream job – truthfully, the only job I ever wanted since high school," but that "NO ONE can question my work ethic…and that's why I'm at peace with my decision."
