Knicks will offer Jalen Brunson four-year deal in range of $110 million on Thursday: Report

All signs point to the Knicks signing Jalen Brunson when free agency opens on Thursday, as Leon Rose and company just cleared up the necessary cap space by trading Nerlens Noel and Alec Burks to the Pistons on Tuesday night.

When New York does extend an offer to the Dallas point guard on June 30, it will be in the vicinity of $110 million over four years, according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports.

The offer could descend in value over time and start at around $30 million for the first year, and would represent a big commitment to a point guard that the Knicks hope will end their streak of misfortune at the position.

Brunson shined in the Mavericks' first-round series win over the Jazz this postseason, a series in which Knicks brass was in attendance, and have been high on him ever since. Dallas wants to keep Brunson, but according to reports, it seems an inevitability that he will wind up in New York, his top choice once free agency opens.
