Josh Hart was quickly upgraded from doubtful to questionable and eventually active for Tuesday's game two, as the sprained ankle he suffered late in game one had initially put his availability up in the air.
Playing through the ankle injury, Hart scored five points on 2-of-3 shooting in 27 minutes of action off the bench, as the Knicks were trounced 107-90 to send the evened series back to New York for game three on Friday night.
After the game, Hart, the hero in game one, wasn't making any excuses for any semblance of a hobbled version of himself because of the ankle sprain.
"It's solid. If I'm out there, I'm solid," Hart said. "No excuses."
Pushed a little more to see if he indeed was feeling less than 100 percent, Hart wouldn't take the bait.
"If I'm out there, I'm good," Hart said. "I'm feeling good."
The Knicks will need Hart at his best, as was seen in the series opener, and he will have two nights to rest his ankle as the series shifts to Madison Square Garden for game three on Friday night.
