Mitchell Robinson's kindness went viral on Thursday night, as told by his high school basketball coach.
During Thursday's Knicks win over the Pistons, MSG Networks' Rebecca Haarlow interviewed Robinson's old coach. Butch Stockton, who told an incredible story where Robinson took him in after Stockton lost his wife.
Robinson visited Stockton's wife "every day" while she was in the hospital, and after she sadly passed away in September, Robinson invited Stockton to come live with him in New York to "enjoy yourself and get your mind back straight."
Stockton took Robinson up on his offer, and the two have been roommates since the start of the season.
Robinson, who went to high school at Chalmette in Louisiana, was praised by the millions who viewed the interview on social media for his act of kindness towards his old coach, while Stockton has gotten to watch Robinson during what has arguably been the best season of his career.
