RJ Barrett's dreadful shooting slump continued in Friday's loss to Warriors

The Knicks suffered through a dreadful shooting night on Friday, finishing just 34.5 percent from the floor and 26.5 percent from downtown in a 111-101 loss to the Warriors in New York's first loss of its west coast road trip.

The ice cold night from the floor was highlighted by the continued, and glaring, shooting struggles of RJ Barrett.

In 40 minutes of action, Barrett shot just 6-for-19 from the field and 1-for-6 from downtown, finishing with 18 points and a -10 on the night. His lone triple ended a stretch in which he missed 19 straight 3-point attempts. Over his last four games, Barrett is shooting a lowly 26.2 percent from the floor, and has made one triple in 22 tries.

Barrett has been fighting an undisclosed illness, one that led the Knicks to have reporters keep their distance during Friday's shootaround, but he was still in the starting lineup.

After signing his big contract extension in the offseason following a failed attempt to make a trade for Donovan Mitchell, Barrett is showing just 25 percent from beyond the arc, and 39.5 percent from the field, which would be the lowest mark of his career.
