Tom Thibodeau has always been known for his intensity and his sometimes comical refusal to every show signs of satisfaction, even when his team is firing on all cylinders.
Well, his group couldn't have performed much better than it did in Wednesday's 30-point rout of the Mavericks, but he still needed to be calmed down by his own players late in the fourth quarter.
Midway through the final period, with his Knicks up by 23, Immanuel Quickley was whistled for a foul, and an incensed Thibodeau demanded an explanation from the official. But Quickley and Julius Randle, both unable to keep themselves from chuckling at Thibodeau's rage, hurried over and tried to calm down their head coach.
Thibodeau often jokes that he's never happy, and no moment illustrated that like Wednesday night.
