The Knicks could be getting a massive boost in the frontcourt as they continue their playoff push.
The team listed center Mitchell Robinson as questionable for Sunday's game against the 76ers, and the 7-footer has been cleared to play after suffering a fractured hand last month.
Robinson has been cleared for full contact and could play Sunday if he responds well to Saturday's team practice.
Robinson, who posted historic field goal percentage numbers last season, underwent surgery to repair the fracture in his right hand on Feb. 16 after suffering the injury in a win over the Wizards a week earlier.
The 22-year-old Robinson was a regular starter for the Knicks prior to his injury.
He was averaging 8.4 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game before the injury, and was logging a career-high 28.8 minutes per game thanks to his starting role and an improved discipline on the defensive end, which helped him avoid early foul trouble.
Tom Thibodeau told reporters that Robinson would be put back into the starting lineup when he is ready to return, even if it doesn't happen right away. But if you ask Robinson, he's ready to go, as he tweeted shortly after being upgraded to questionable.
I feel tooooooo goooooddddd bro I'm ready 🤙🏾

Robinson was enjoying one of his best performances of the season when he suffered the injury, putting up 10 points and 14 rebounds in 20 minutes on Feb. 12. The initial recovery timeline was expected to be 4-6 weeks.
Nerlens Noel has stepped up in Robinson's absence, helping the Knicks hover around the .500 mark and maintain a playoff spot.
