Morash: Joel Embiid body language proves series declaration is fake

Joel Embiid told reporters after the Sixers' game two loss that Philly is the better team, and will come back from its 0-2 hole to take the series from the Knicks.

The Evan and Tiki crew debated whether it was a legit guarantee, like Mark Messier in 1994.

"Here's what Joel Embiid did that I actually admire: he put his ass in the jackpot after the game," Evan said. "Think about what Joel did right there. Twice, he said we're going to win this series, so it was not a mistake."

Morash is calling BS on Embiid, and says the body language said it all, not the words coming out of Embiid's mouth.

"This is fake ass in the jackpot…visually is the context," Morash said. "This is not putting your ass in the jackpot. When you say something you believe, you stick your head up, you look into the camera, you look at the microphones and say 'we've been the better team, we're gonna win this series.' Instead, Joel Embiid sounds confident there, but if you actually watched, it was head down, not looking at anybody.

"America will not look at that as a true guarantee."

Whether it was legit or not, Evan says Embiid will look really bad if his declaration doesn't come true.

"Philadelphia just had one of their top athletes guarantee a series win and he did it down 0-2," Evan said. "He better back it up because here's the thing about guarantees: for every Joe Namath and for every Mark Messier, there's Patrick Ewing. There's the guarantees that don't work."
