New York Knicks announce 2020-21 first-half schedule

No Christmas Day, to the dismay of WFAN's biggest Knicks fan Craig Carton, and no opening night – but we now know that the New York Knicks will open their season on the road, and return to MSG the night after Christmas.

The Knicks' season opener will be Wednesday, Dec. 23 at 7 p.m. in Indiana, and Game 2 is the MSG opener on Saturday, Dec. 26 at 7:30 p.m. against Philadelphia.

Among other notables, the Knicks will play on MLK Day for the 22nd straight year, hosting Orlando on Monday, Jan. 18 at noon, and their first intra-city clash with the Nets will be five days earlier (Jan. 13) in a nationally-televised game at MSG.

On the "coach revenge" tip, the Knicks will play back-to-back games against Tom Thibodeau's old friends in Chicago, facing the Bulls in the Windy City on Feb. 1 and Feb. 3, and they will host Minnesota on Feb. 21.

The first-half finale will be on the road, on Monday, March 2 in San Antonio.
