Add the Knicks to the long list of teams that are reportedly monitoring the Ben Simmons saga in Philadelphia.

According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, New York is among the many teams interested in Simmons, as the 76ers are "ramping up their efforts" to put together a multi-team trade that would result in getting the point guard out of Philadelphia.

Per Charania, the Lakers, Timberwolves, Trail Blazers, Kings, Pacers and Cavaliers are among the other teams that would compete with the Knicks for Simmons.

After being surrounded by trade rumors following his struggles in last year's playoffs, Simmons reported to Sixers camp this offseason and told the team that he wasn't mentally ready to come back and play. The three-time All-Star played in 58 games last season and averaged 14.3 points and 6.9 assists per game while shooting 55.7 percent from the floor in a career-low 10.1 attempts per game.

According to Charania's report, the asking price for Simmons would still be steep despite the gap in his playing time, as Philadelphia is reportedly asking for "an All-Star-caliber player and/or multiple first-round draft picks."
