Alec Burks 'doesn't even move the needle a little bit' for Sal

The Knicks have reportedly agreed to a trade with the Pistons that brings back Bojan Bogdanovich and a reunion with Alec Burks, and while Sal is OK with the trade on the whole, bringing back Burks hardly moves the needle for him.

“Alec Burks? Good God, let’s not go down that well again,” Sal said. “I remember watching him every night when he was here. I liked him and he was good then, he was just not good enough.

“Let’s bring back Elfrid Payton too. Let’s bring all those Knicks back. Why not?”

The inclusion of Bogdanovich eases the blow for Sal, who would have never given up Quentin Grimes for just Burks. Still, he was hoping for a lot more than Burks as a headliner of their trade deadline day.

“He doesn’t even move the needle a little bit,” Sal said. “That’s the least they can do. I want to go all in here. Alec Burks ain’t it.”
