Sal doubts Knicks winning is sustainable long term in playoffs: 'They played one good game of four'
The Knicks are on the cusp of advancing after a huge game four win, but Sal still has concerns about the team and their ability to make a deep playoff run.
Sal says game four was the first time the Knicks seemed to play a complete game, and the team is lucky to be heading home with a commanding 3-1 lead.
"They played one good game of four," Sal said. "Long term, if you play poorly, that's not good. That's not sustainable. To win while playing poorly is not sustainable.
"I think the Knicks are up 3-1 more so because the Sixers are trash than anything else."
Sal says game two should have been a Knicks loss, which would have drastically changed the complexion of this series, and even if they advance, they have not shown enough to Sal to suggest that they are championship material.
"You're gonna ignore the fact that they should have lost? Everyone in the world knows that," Sal said. "It took a miracle of all miracles to win. You take that, sure, but…I'm not gonna hang my hat on the Knicks are gonna win a championship because they got the break of all breaks in game two."
