Sal even more worried that Knicks will lose series to 76ers after 'lucky' game two win
After the Knicks won game one against the Sixers, Sal declared that New York could not win the series if the team played like it did in the series opener.
After the Knicks' miraculous comeback in game two, Sal doubled down on that declaration, and says the Knicks are doomed to lose this opening series with the way they are winning games.
"Today, I feel that even more," Sal said. "It was an improbable win, maybe the most improbable win I've ever seen from the Knicks in my lifetime. It was a very lucky win. That is now two straight games where I came away thinking the Knicks were very fortunate to get a win.
"That is two [wins], but the Knicks cannot beat the 76ers if they keep playing like this."
Sal is highly concerned about Jalen Brunson's struggles, and says he "knows what is coming" the rest of the series with the way they have had to pull out wins in improbable fashion. Noting the star power of the Sixers and the Knicks' lone star struggling, Sal believes New York is poised to lose two on the road to make it a brand new series.
"I don't think either of these teams are good," Sal said. "I watched five minutes of the Nuggets and Lakers and said, 'those are two good basketball teams.'"
