The Knicks immediately watched an 11-point lead evaporate after Jalen Brunson left game two with a sore foot, then went on an inspiring comeback in the second half once their leader returned at the start of the second half.
For Sal, while the win was exciting, it highlighted the point that the team is "nothing" without Brunson, which highlights his value while also placing concern on the team's secondary players.
"The New York Knicks are nothing without Jalen Brunson," Sal said. "Get him back in there! I couldn't stand it…Jalen Brunson showed you his importance again.
"I don't care if it's a quarter or three minutes. It is ugly without Jalen Brunson."
