Jalen Brunson won’t win the NBA MVP award this season, but after closing out a spectacular campaign, Sal says the Knicks star should be taking home the award.
“Bullcrap. I watch him every night,” Sal said. “Hard-pressed to find somebody better than Jalen Brunson.
“It’s been proven that he should be the MVP of this league. Without Jalen Brunson, they have no shot. They lose Randle, they lose Anunoby for a significant period of time, and here we are talking about the Knicks as the second seed.”
If the MVP is truly about who is the most valuable player to their team in that season, Sal says it should be Brunson that wins it, given what he did for the Knicks despite the tidal wave of injuries that came their way this year.
“He should be the MVP this year,” Sal said.
