Sal hopes Knicks fans are enjoying the current playoff run, because he says they will be in for a rude awakening should they advance to their first Eastern Conference Final in 25 years.
“Knicks fans, you don't want to hear this, but get your brooms out,” Sal said. “Because if the Knicks do advance - and I believe they will in five games - they're getting swept by the Celtics. They’re gonna get swept and beat to a pulp.”
“They have no chance because they’re depleted.”
Sal says any fans who believe the Knicks have been better off without Julius Randle will be in for a rude awakening should New York meet Boston in the next round, and believes this current iteration of the Knicks isn’t nearly good enough to hang with the top seed in the East.
“Enjoy this run…because this is it,” Sal said. “Beating the Pacers is gonna be the high point of the Knicks season.”
