Sal's message to 'Knicks ball washers' after game four: 'They aren't any good'

Sal was on air once the Knicks' game four loss to the Heat went final, and he made it clear that nobody should have ever been high on this New York team, which is showing its true identity this series.

"It's a miracle they only lost by eight points," Sal said. "The fact they had a chance in this game…it felt like they were down 20.

"For all you Knick ball washers out there, the bottom line is, they aren't any good. I tried to tell you! Then I get angry because I get my hopes up."

Sal kicked himself for allowing himself to be talked into believing the Knicks have a chance, because after watching the first four games of this series, it's clear that they don't.

"I believed, because everybody talked about how the Heat aren't any good. I don't watch the Heat, but I should know better because I watch the Knicks, and I know they're not that good," Sal said.

Sure, the Knicks handled a solid Cavaliers team in the first round, but Sal says the hints were there at what would kill New York in this postseason, and was all the evidence you needed to know that this team wasn't for real.

"Even in that series, there were things they did that showed you they weren't a very good team, starting with shooting the basketball," Sal said. "The Knicks can't shoot.

"If you can't shoot the basketball, then you better play defense. And the Knicks don't play good defense."
