Tiki on Knicks being underdogs against 76ers: 'Vegas is all moronic'

The Knicks are shockingly underdogs in their first-round series against the seventh-seeded 76ers, as bettors seem to believe Philly will be a much different animal with a somewhat healthy Joel Embiid in the fold.

Tiki says this wave of bettors taking odds on the Sixers are clueless to what the Knicks have been all season.

"They're morons. They're moronic. Vegas is all moronic," Tiki said. "They don't watch the Knicks. They don't know what's going on in New York. The don't know Tom Thibodeau has changed. They're still believing that Tom Thibodeau is close minded and is gonna play 6-7 guys in the postseason and get trounced by a team that is better on paper because Joel Embiid was the MVP a year ago…he couldn't play defense to save his life, at least yesterday for three quarters.

"The national basketball watching audience, and those that are wagering, don't actually realize what's happening in New York with the Knicks."

Tiki says Thibodeau has a deeper rotation this season, and the Knicks have their own star power in Jalen Brunson, and a lockdown defender in OG Anunoby. But the "LOL Knicks" narrative still seems to hold across the country, even if here in New York, fans know what they have in their team.

"Mostly, it's ignorance about where the Knicks have grown to and who they are," Tiki said. "This team, it's just different."
