The Knicks are mired in a miserable season. After losing nine consecutive games, the 10-38 Knicks sit 14th in the Eastern Conference. Only the Cleveland Cavaliers possess a worse record in the East.

During Monday's show, Mike Francesa summed up the Knicks' hopeless season.

"The Knicks have become such an embarrassment that I feel bad if I watch them," Francesa said. "I felt like I should be doing something else. They don't even care. It's gotten to the point where 'why would you invest a dollar in this team, why would you go see them play?' I can't see any reason to go see that team play – none, zero.

"It's gotten to that point and it's sad. It's very sad. It really is. It's actually intolerable. I understand what the premise is – but it's not even professional basketball. It's just awful. They should be embarrassed. I understand now what you're trying to do from here in, but you can't tell me this was the idea. It couldn't have been. This can never be anybody's idea of a year. It's that bad. Again, it has to stop now."

Report: Knicks Preparing Trade Offer For Anthony Davis

The Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers have been rumored to be preparing trade offers for New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis. Francesa does not see Davis as a good fit for the Knicks.

"If I'm the Knicks, with (Kristaps) Porzingis, I wouldn't even be interested in him," Francesa said. "He doesn't fit. You cannot tell me that's what your plan is -- to put he and Porzingis on the same team -- or trade Porzingis for him," Francesa said. "I would not do that. He shouldn't even be anything the Knicks consider. The question is -- does he go play with LeBron (James)?"

The Knicks have an average point differential of minus 8.5 this season. David Fizdale's men have struggling at Madison Square Garden, owning a 4-17 home record.

Tankathon, an NBA Draft simulation site lists the Knicks, Cavs and Phoenix Suns as having an equal 14 percent chance of receiving the first overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

Duke forward Zion Williamson is favorite to be drafted first overall. The 6-foot-7 freshman is averaging 21.7 points per game and 9.2 rebounds per game.
