ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith said Monday morning that he has heard that Suns star Devin Booker wants to come to New York and join the Knicks, which would give New York the other star many believe it needs to take the next step and become a legitimate title contender.
Gio is still locked in on this Knicks team as they look to finish off the 76ers on Tuesday night, but he would love to see Booker alongside Jalen Brunson next season.
“If Jalen Brunson and Luka Doncic can work, and Jalen Brunson thought he and Donovan Mitchell can work, then Jalen Brunson and Devin Booker can work too,” Gio said.
Boomer would be excited to see that pairing as well, as long as Leon Rose and company are able to orchestrate a solid deal to make it all fit.
“The two of them would be amazing together, I would think,” Boomer said. “But you gotta make the money work.”
