While playing at Allen High School, Kyler Murray was a two-time recipient of the "Mr. Texas Football" award, given, as you can imagine, to the top varsity football player in the state.

Don't get it twisted, though, Murray - who began his collegiate career at Texas A&M - wasn't a Cowboys fan. Just take his word on it. In a since-deleted video, the Arizona Cardinals quarterback had a quick response on why he didn't grow up rooting for the Cowboys.

Murray and the Cardinals will see the Cowboys twice in 2021. They'll open up their preseason slate at home against the Cowboys, before traveling to Dallas in Week 17 of the regular season. Murray is 1-0 in his career against the Cowboys, having led the Cardinals to a 38-10 victory in Dallas last October.
