DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Kristaps Porzingis era in Dallas has come to and end.
Just before Thursday's trade deadline, the Dallas Mavericks agree to a deal sending Porzingis and a second round pick to the Washington Wizards in exchange for guard Spencer Dinwiddie and stretch big Davis Bertans.

While the Nets-Sixers blockbuster centered around James Harden and Ben Simmons will dominate the headlines in NYC, it's also worth noting this deal that exchanges two former Big Apple stars.
Dinwiddie, who blossomed into a star over four-plus seasons in Brooklyn, left for Washington in August in a sign-and-trade deal that included five teams (and included Russell Westbrook going to the Lakers) and netted him a three-year, $54 million deal with up to $6 million in incentives. He has played 44 games for the Wizards this season, averaging 12.6 points, 5.8 assists, and 4.7 rebounds per game.
Porzingis, whom the Knicks selected No. 4 overall in 2015, was in his third season in Dallas after being part of a seven-player deal between the Knicks and Mavs in January 2019, while he was out with a torn ACL. This season, "The Unicorn" is averaging 19.2 points and 7.7 rebounds per game over 34 contests.
