McMonigle tired of Chiefs winning, but even more sick of complaints about officiating

The Chiefs are once again Super Bowl bound, winning Sunday’s AFC title game in what was their seventh straight appearance in that round, and now have a chance to become the first team in NFL history to secure a three-peat.

While some fans are telling Kansas City haters to appreciate the greatness they are watching, but Chris McMonigle says he doesn’t care about any potential greatness. He wants to see something different in the Super Bowl.

“I don’t want to see this! I am tired of watching the Chiefs in the Super Bowl!” C-Mac said. “They’ve been to the AFC Championship game in every year that Patrick Mahomes has been the starting quarterback. We can talk about ‘It’s greatness, we’ve never seen anything like it before. How could you hate on history like this? It’s like watching Tiger Woods in his prime.’ Nonsense! I’m sick of it!

“I want to see who can beat the unbeatable.”

While C-Mac would have preferred to see the Bills get into the Big Game, he doesn’t want to hear a peep about the officiating, which has become a common complaint in Chiefs games, with many fans criticizing the referees for calls or no-calls that favor Mahomes and Kansas City. There were more instances of that in Sunday’s game, including a spot on a fourth-down play where, from some angles, Josh Allen appeared to get the first down, but the ruling was upheld after review, setting up the Chiefs’ game-winning drive.

“We have to stop bitching and complaining about the referees,” C-Mac said. “It’s embarrassing. Kansas City won the damn game.

“The Chiefs earned the one seed, earned the game in their building, earned every bit of crap that we can’t stand about them anymore. I am so sick and tired of everyone complaining. Why, because they gave a catch to Worthy that was ruled on the field? It hit the ground and didn’t move…there was a defensive penalty on the play anyway.”
