Les in Rockland County phoned Boomer and Gio this morning to try and rain on their Mets parade after the news of Carlos Correa coming to Queens, and Boomer could only laugh Les right off the air.
"I'm definitely waking up a jealous Yankee fan the morning," Les said. "I wanted Correa badly, I wanted the Yankees to get another big bat. But at the end of the day, the Mets are still the Mets, and they're gonna blow this one way or another, and they're gonna be heartbreaking."
That's when Boomer couldn't help but crack up.
"The Mets are still the Mets, Les?" Boomer laughed. "Enjoy your Aaron Judge press conference today, it's gonna be nice for you guys. you guys enjoy that one."
Gio actually understood where Les was coming from, and says the Mets can't hold any parades until they actually win a World Series.
"If I were a Yankee fan, I'd be saying the same exact thing," Gio said.
"I'd be saying, 'You haven't won anything yet.'"
