Braves troll Empire State Building's lighting plans after taking down Mets

The Empire State Building Twitter account lit up in Mets colors every time the team scored on Friday night, announcing before the game that it would serve as a virtual scoreboard for the City, but the Braves Twitter account jumped all over that after Atlanta came away with a 9-6 win.

After Atlanta finished off the win to even the five-game series at one apiece, the Braves social media account retweeted the Empire State Building’s earlier tweet about the plan to light up the building, but the Braves included a photo of the building lit up in Braves colors instead.

If the building had lit up in Braves colors for each of their runs on Friday, it would have racked up a hefty electric bill, as Atlanta jumped on Taijuan Walker for four runs in each of the first two innings.
