BT doesn't see Francisco Lindor breaking out of slump after monster game

Francisco Lindor had a monster day in Wednesday's series finale against the Giants, going 4-for-5 with two home runs, four RBI, and 10 total bases to help the Mets salvage a game in San Francisco.

Sal wondered if BT thought Lindor's monster day meant that the struggling shortstop was finally poised to break out of his prolonged slump, but BT wasn't buying it just yet.

"Not really," BT said. "Blake Snell was supposed to pitch. Who the hell was this dude they wheeled out there?"

Snell landed on the IL before Wednesday's game, leaving Lindor and the Mets to face the likes of Ryan Walker, Sean Hjelle, Landen Roupp, and others. The stable of arms could do nothing to slow Lindor down, as he raised his season batting average from .174 to .206 in just one game, but BT doesn't see it as a sign of things to come.

"Very big win. No doubt," BT said. "But I'm not convinced that Lindor is about to go on some tear."
