BT gives Giants better shot at playoffs next season than Mets this season
While pondering what New York teams will be playoff bound in 2024, BT made it clear that he does not think the Mets will be one of those teams punching their ticket to the postseason.
"The Mets have no shot," BT said. "They have no shot. Because it's April, yes, mathematically they do…I just don't think they're very good. I just think they ultimately don't get there.
"Do I think the Mets are a playoff team? I absolutely do not."
BT gives the Jets the better shot to make it in 2024, along with the obvious Knicks and Rangers, and is confident that the Yankees will ride their current hot start to a playoff berth. But he surprised Sal when he gave the Giants a better chance at the playoffs in their upcoming season than the Mets making it this year.
"I'd have to look at the Giants schedule," BT said. "I think that the Giants are a little closer to the teams I perceive to be playoff teams in their way then the Mets. That's how little I think of the Giants this year."
