BT goes off on Francisco Lindor for another slow start: 'This is what you get paid for!'
BT has long been critical of Francisco Lindor and the need him for him to be more of a star to lead the Mets on the field, and on Wednesday, he sounded off on the high-priced shortstop amid his early-season struggles at the plate.
"The season is being defined now. I've always screamed about Lindor…and I'm right," BT said. "The season is defined now, and if you go out and hit .190 in April, and the Mets are 7-18 in April…whatever it might be, and he goes on and 'Oh, look at Lindor, 30 bombs, he should win the Gold Glove.' How about it you do it now, buddy? This is what you get paid for!
"It might look good on the back of your baseball card…but when you watch him in real time, you know he is not contributing enough to winning. I've been saying this from day one."
BT, using a basketball analogy, said Lindor is nothing more than compiler who doesn't have the efficiency to be a true star considered among the best in the game.
"He is a high-volume shooter with low efficiency who averages 22 points per game on a bad team," BT said. "That would be Lindor…impact winning!"
