C-Mac: Dodgers proving they are better than Mets 'top to bottom'
The Mets were blown out once again by the Dodgers in game four, being put on the brink of elimination in a 10-2 defeat at home.
New York has now been rocked by a combined score of 27-2 in their three losses in this series, and Chris McMonigle says the Mets are being dealt a harsh reality when it comes to their current opponent.
“It’s just a fact. The Dodgers are better,” C-Mac said. “The Dodgers are better in every single way. Starting pitching has been better, bullpen has clearly been better, and the offense has been light years better.
“Absolutely top to bottom, the Mets have been dominated in these games, and they were dominated in game one. They were one Mark Vientos grand slam from getting their ass kicked in four straight games.”
There has been next to nothing for Mets fans to cheer about in their own building in this series, because the Dodgers have owned them over the past 48 hours. There is still some air left in the balloon, but it is leaking out fast, and the Dodgers look like a very tough team to win three straight games against at this point.
“All the talk about heading into this series on the level of the Dodgers - and I’d be the first to tell you I was part of that talk - it’s been absolute domination,” C-Mac said. “And that’s a tough pill to swallow in many ways.”
