Former Mets captain David Wright joined Evan and Tiki on Thursday to talk about battling a concussion during his playing career, the future of the Mets, and the second annual “Battle of the Badges” game that he will host at Citi Field featuring members of the FDNY and NYPD.

Wright discussed his experience with concussions, as he suffered one in 2009 and returned wearing a concussion helmet to protect himself from another, in the wake of the Anthony Rizzo news. He also touched on the outlook for the young Mets, who could step up as the leader in the clubhouse, and how he feels about his number inevitably being retired.
