Evan: Mets 'season-altering' win was most improbable in last half decade

The Mets shockingly mounted two comebacks against the Braves in Atlanta, typically a house of horrors for New York, to make it four wins in their last five games.

Evan made sure he didn't get too low after the Mets' 0-5 start, but after watching that win on Monday, he can't help but be excited for what it could mean for this team moving forward.

"The Mets pulled off their most shocking victory in half a decade last night in Atlanta," Evan said. "The Mets victory last night was more important than the five consecutive losses on the negative side that they started the season with.

"That's how massive, how shocking, and how season-altering last night's victory was against the Atlanta Braves."

Mets teams of recent years past don't win that game, leaving Evan hopeful for what could be to come in 2024.

"That's the kind of win that makes you say, 'Holy crap! They might be good!'" Evan said.
