Evan learned of Billy Eppler’s resignation live on air, and his reaction was, well, not much of a reaction.

Why not? Because Evan didn’t see Eppler having much of a role with the Mets anymore anyway, not after David Stearns was introduced as the team’s president of baseball operations on Monday.

“See ya!” Evan said. “We’ll get to Billy Eppler resigning. Who the hell cares? David Stearns is running the team. Billy Eppler was going to become the most irrelevant general manager this side of Scott Perry, who resigned and nobody cared about too, by the way.”

Evan was so disinterested in the news, he was ready to get to the Bad Tiki segment and move on to other things.

“Whatever. Goodbye, Billy,” Evan said. “We’ll get to it, I guess, if you care.”
